Christine Payne-Towler
is a world-class Tarot scholar with an encyclopedic knowledge of Tarot's origins and evolution. Christine has been presenting her in-depth analysis and illuminating historical review to private and public classes since 1978, including the Bay Area Tarot Symposium BATS, and standing-room-only at the the C. J. Jung Institute 2018, and the North West Tarot Symposium NWTS, 2017. She has been a foundational influence in the Oregon Women's Movement, and has organized classes which still continue from decades ago, in a variety of online and live event environments.
Attendees will be able to purchase these excellent resources during our event. Christine specializes in what she calls The Continental Tarot, and addresses the "missing period" in most Tarot enthusiast's understanding and knowledge~ the time between Etteilla and Oswald Wirth, the ~1790-1920. You will learn the underlying numerology, language, and esoterics which led Tarot forward, before the Golden Dawn and later developments. |

WHO IS THIS WEEKEND IMMERSION GETAWAY FOR?
In our world of Tarot, there are those who may consider themselves Tarot Elders~ folks who have studied and practiced extensively or long-term, and are often hungry for a deep meal of the spirit, and for something that really engages the mind for further creative and personal development. As well, there are Tarot Newcomers, who are interested how they can put that to use in their jobs, private lives, and personal spiritual development processes. This workshop addresses both audiences, as well as the need of most modern people for a break from technology and perceptual overload. We plan for this weekend to be restorative, surprising, and invigorating, with lots of beauty outdoors and peaceful indoor sharing.
